Ward Christmas Party.

Our ward Christmas party was held this past weekend up in Sundance. There was a talent show and excellent catered dinner. One of these shots is of the roommates (minus Wayna): Kelsey, Me, Lauren, Ashley & Tiffany. I can't believe this semester is coming to a close! Today is the last day of classes and finals are next week! Peter and I will be driving home before we know it...

When you're helping you're happy!

I loved this week's family home evening!!! There's Bryson (Elder Nelson's grandson...no big deal), Lauren and I, and the whole group!

update.

I'm updating my blog instead of studying for my spanish exam. What's new. The semester is almost over, and that means that there are tests and papers galore. It helps to keep in mind that I'll be home for Thanksgiving break in just 18 days! Besides the stresses of school, I think this has been one of my favorite semesters at BYU. I couldn't ask for better friends (especially my roommates!) and examples in my ward. I was lucky enough to compile the ward directory at the beginning of the semester, therefore, giving me the opportunity to meet everyone and take their picture. I could safely say that I'm friends with everyone in the ward and I love the calling that I have as relief society instructor. Not a day goes by that I don't thank my Heavenly Father for all these relationships that I have. I have felt these people lift me up, even when they didn't know I was down. It will be a bittersweet farewell when I leave for Spain in January. I am so excited to go, yet I will miss all these people dearly. I believe that Spain will be another experience leading me toward the person I want to be. I keep telling myself, "change is necessary". A missionary friend said this in a recent letter: "It's true, time does tell, time does change. I've changed. I can't remember who I was or why I was, I don't really even know who I am, I just know who I want to try and be. Never stop changing, it's a constant we must keep in focus." I think his words really sum up how I've been feeling for the past couple months. So... bring on change! I am ready for it.

Just a few short months.

I will be staying at the University in Alcalá de Henares, just a 30 min. train ride from the center of Madrid.
Here is a picture of Alcalá, thanks to google images.
